Brenda J. Brydges

BRYDGES, Brenda J. (Dicks), 71, of Indianapolis, passed on May 11, 2026.

She was a graduate of Lawrence Central High School and lived in Lawrence most of her life.

She was employed at IU Health from 1979 to 2021 as an Administrative Assistant and Credentialing Specialist for the ambulatory surgery centers. Brenda enjoyed camping and spending time with her family, grandchildren, and friends.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents David and Marian (Barclay) Dicks, a sister, Linda Dicks Powell, and a brother, Ronald Alan Dicks.

She is survived by her husband, John (Jack) Brydges; sons Jeffrey D. (April) Bethuram and Jonathan J. (Stephanie) Bethuram; stepson Michael (Kimberly) Brydges; and grandchildren Colton, Caden, Grace, Ella, and Audrey Bethuram, and Andrew Brydges; a sister Kathy (Phil) Mullins and a brother David (Anita) Dicks.

Funeral services will be held at the Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East Funeral Center, May 21, 2026, at 2pm with family receiving friends from 12pm until the time of service. Burial will immediately follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
