Fishers, Indiana – Braxton Michael Ford, 21, passed away far too soon on December 5, 2025. His spirit, his adventurous (or daring) nature, and his love for his family, will be deeply missed by all.
Braxton was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, to parents Brian Ford and Melanie Catron on May 13, 2004. Braxton attended Fishers and Options high school, graduating in 2023.
Braxton’s love for adventure was his defining characteristic. He loved to get into the world and experience it, spending time rediscovering abandoned buildings, racing his BMX bicycle, or skateboarding. His passions were numerous, also loving to build Lego sets by himself or with his fiancée, watching Harry Potter movies, or diving deep into conspiracy theories. A mechanic at heart, he also loved to work on and detail cars. His work history included these passions.
More than a BMX rider, a skateboarder, or an urban explorer, Braxton was a goofball with a deep love for his family and friends. His loss is a loss for all who knew him and all who never had the chance.
Braxton is preceded in death by his grandmother, Jane Catron, and uncle, Greg Layman.
He is survived by his parents, Melanie Catron and Brian Ford; fiancée Ava Lakatos; sister Cassie Ford; grandparents Keith Catron (Linda) and Cecil Ford (Sharon); aunts Michelle Layman, Lisa Shaw (Glen), Robin Altman, and Tracy Mahan.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Flanner Buchanan – Geist (7855 Cork Road, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46236) from 2 – 4 pm. Funeral services will follow at 4 pm with Pastor Nicholas Jaymes presiding.
