Brad Nicholson

November 18, 1958 — June 12, 2023

Indianapolis , IN

Brad Nicholson, 64, Indianapolis, went home to be with his Lord, peacefully in his home, on June 12, 2023. He was born in Beardstown, IL to J.B. and Rosemary (McGinness) Nicholson. Brad fought a valiant battle against lung cancer with courage and strength until his last breath. He will be remembered as a loving father, a devoted friend, and a man who left an unforgettable mark on everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

Brad held many titles in his life, from former Marine to entrepreneur, but his favorite role of all was being a girl dad. He loved nothing more than spending time with his four daughters and made every moment count. His unwavering love for his girls knew no bounds, and he would move heaven and earth to ensure their happiness and well-being. His role as a father was not just a responsibility; it was a profound joy that radiated from his every action. He was their guiding light, their protector, and their biggest cheerleader in every step they took.

One of Brad’s greatest passions was sports. An avid sports fan, you always knew when his team was winning, and, most certainly, when they were losing. His enthusiasm for the game was infectious and he made every sports event a memorable experience, whether it was bonding with his daughters or sharing laughs with friends and family.

However, Brad’s love and kindness extended far beyond his immediate circle. He possessed a rare gift of making everyone he encountered feel special and appreciated. His warm smile, compassionate nature, and genuine interest in others endeared him to people from all walks of life. It was impossible to resist his magnetic personality, and his impact on those he met will continue to resonate for years to come. He changed so many lives with his kindness and generosity. He will be greatly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents J.B. and Rosemary (McGinness) Nicholson and brother David Nicholson. He is survived by his daughters Christina Rodine (Addam), Britt Nicholson (Matt), Gabrielle Rose (Logan), and Paige Nicholson; his grandsons Drake, Haydan, Jon, Bradley, and a grandson due this August, James; his siblings Ruthann Baker (Bruce), Steve Nicholson, Joe Nicholson (Debbie), and Mark Nicholson; as well as many nieces and nephews who all loved him dearly.
