Obituary

Bourbon Edward Bellon, 89, of Fishers, Indiana, passed away on September 25, 2026. He was born on January 7, 1937, in New Madrid, Missouri, to parents, Sidney and Evelyn Bellon.

Bourbon lived a life marked by dedication to his country, his work, his faith, and above all, his family. In 1952, he joined the National Guard. After his honorable discharge, he went on to serve in the Air Force for a little more than 10 years, until his honorable discharge in 1964. His years of military service reflected a steady sense of duty and commitment.

In 1980, he co-founded Bellon Sales Associates, a successful Manufacturer’s Agency, with his late wife, Louise Bellon. Together they built a successful and lasting business, sharing its leadership and operation for many years. He retired at the end of 2020 with Louise to focus on their health. The business continues today under the leadership of a son, a meaningful continuation of the work they began together.

Bourbon was a devout Christian, worshiping in the Lutheran Church most of his life. He strongly believed in the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and an everlasting life. We are comforted in the fact he now resides with his savior, Jesus Christ.

He was a member of Cornerstone Lutheran Church Carmel and found community there. Those who knew him will remember he was quiet and kind. He loved his family deeply, and his devotion to his wife of more than 50 years, Louise, was especially dear.

Bourbon is survived by his children (spouses), Kimberly (Tim), Karl (Rhonda), Neil (Val), Michael (Greta), and John; 17 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a brother, David Bellon.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50+ years, Louise Bellon; his parents, Sidney and Evelyn Bellon; a sister, Sydney Rae Bellon, Grandparents Edward and Anna Bellon, Aunt Mavis Bellon, and Aunt Lea Haynes.

Visitation for Bourbon will be from 9am-10am on Thursday, October 8th, 2026, at Cornerstone Lutheran Church Carmel, 4850 E Main St, Carmel, IN 46033, with a funeral service immediately following at 10am. Entombment with military honors will take place following at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46250.

Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Cornerstone Lutheran Church Carmel.
