Bonnie Campbell Stidham, 76, gained her heavenly wings on Saturday, April 18, 2026. She was a most precious loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Bonnie was born into a large Campbell family in Perry County Kentucky in the little town of Butterfly on March 26, 1950. She attended Sonia Grade School and MC Napier Hight School.
Bonnie’s pride and joy was her son, Scotty Wayne (Kathryn) Miller. She was grandmother to Devin Miller (Krista) and Darien Stinson (Matt) and great grandmother to Camden Miller and Harper Stinson. Bonnie is also survived by 2 sisters, Ezella (Frank), Cleda (Juan) and 3 brothers, Anthony (Peggy), Fred & Denver (Judy). She was preceded in death by her parents and many beloved brothers and sisters.
Bonnie did exceptionally well in her career starting out as a waitress for Waffle House Family Restaurant in Plainfield, IN. The Waffle House Family Restaurant on 31 & Stop 11 Road was her first as owner in 1983 and in 1990 she built a Sunshine Café on 135 and Main Street in Greenwood. She also had ownership in many Waffle Houses and Sunshine Cafes over central Indiana including Crawfordsville, Plainfield, Speedway, Lebanon and W. 56th Street. She genuinely cared for her customers and employees and ran a tight ship!! When her grandkids were little, they loved to “work” bussing tables.
Bonnie loved attending church and studying her bible. She loved her dog, Zoey and taking her for long walks every day. She loved going to garage sales and Goodwill stores with her sisters. She loved collecting things. You might find a box of rocks sitting in her living room and she could tell you how beautiful each one was and why she picked it up.
Bonnie leaves an empty place in our hearts that can never be filled, this side of Heaven. We all know she is in the arms of Jesus and while we will miss her beyond words, we are blessed to have had 76 years with her. She faced many life challenges and continued with a smile on her face and care in her heart for anyone she met, especially those in need. She was one of a kind!
