Bobby Cox

Bobby Cox , 60, Indianapolis, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 12, 2014. He was born May 24, 1954, in Indianapolis, IN to the late Owen Cox, Jr. and Evelyn Cox who survives him. He was a member of Eastern Star Church and a retiree of General Motors: Allison Transmission and Chevrolet Truck and Bus Group Divisions. After retirement, he became a Real Estate Broker with FC Tucker Company, Inc. Bobby was a 1972 graduate of Broad Ripple High School and attended Columbia State University (TN), Vincennes University, Martin University and IUPUI. He is survived by his loving wife Shirley Scott Cox and two children: Troycine "NeNe" (David) Shabazz and Brittany Cox and three grandchildren: Charles Payne, Trinity Carlisle and Amira Shabazz. Mother: Evelyn Cox; Siblings: Norma (Edwin) Dartis, Kathy (Jerry) Massie, Jerry Cox, Don (Stephanie) Cox, Brenda Cox and Ronnie (Joy) Cox. A host of Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Dear Friends. Visitation will be Friday, November 21, 2014, from 9 am - 11 am at Eastern Star Church, 5750 E. 30th Street, Indianapolis. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11 am. Arrangements entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
