Bob D. Boone, 80 of Carmel, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013. Bob was born September 11, 1932 in Sullivan County IN to the late James P. and Gladys (Norris) Boone. He served in the US Marine Corp. during the early 1950s
Bob was a realtor in the Carmel area for 40 years and began his career in the early 1960s with Thomas D Wilson, Inc. He was a founder and partner of Country Squires, Inc., a Carmel area real estate firm, from 1965-1971. Bob later worked for the FC Tucker Co, Doane Western, AHM Graves, and Graves Commercial Group, where he completed his real estate career in 2003.
Bob was a member of North Central Church of Christ, where he was a deacon. He was active as a member and Past Master of the Carmel Masonic Lodge. He served as a volunteer fireman with the Carmel Fire Dept. in the 1960s and on the Carmel-Clay Plan Commission from 1983 to 1989.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 Tuesday, July 9 at Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel, where friends and family are invited to gather from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Monday, July 8.
Bob is survived by his wife, Ruth; sons, Michael E. and Christopher P. (wife, Nancy) Boone; grandchildren, Stephen R. and Austin M. Boone, Hannah E., Leah G. and Shelby R. Boone.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
