Bob Carl Jackson
85, Indianapolis, passed away February 23, 2016. Bob was born in Stanford, KY on January 1, 1932 to parents, Charles W. and Beatrice (Benge) Jackson. Bob served his country honorably as a Corporal in the U.S. Army. During his career, he worked as a manager for Foremost Gentry in California and retired from McCormick & Company. Away from work, Bob enjoyed Blues and Country music, playing blues guitar, participating in various sports – of which he was very competitive, including lawn darts. He was outgoing and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed feeding his squirrels and tending to his crab apple and peach trees.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Rosemary (Conway) Jackson, who passed away in February of 2002; sister, Audrey Hamm; and step-children, Hugh Baker and Jaqueline Sue Mulry. He is survived by his brothers, Wayne “Jack” Jackson and Benny Shackleford; step-sons, Tom Baker and James “Jim” Mumaw; and sister-in-law, Sharon C. Flohr (Ron).
Friends may call from 12:30 until 2:30 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, where his funeral services will immediately follow at 2:30pm. Entombment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery. Friends may view his online tribute at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
