Bo Hyung Fisher

February 27, 1941 — September 30, 2022

Indianapolis, Indiana

Bo met and married her husband in Korea and they had a daughter, Stephanie. Later, after moving to Germany they had another daughter, Carmen.  Eventually, they would move the United States where she enjoyed time with extended family and life-long friends.

Being married to an American serviceman, moving to new posting was expected and Bo enjoyed all of the new places she would eventually call home. Bo made many friends along the way, but she always found a home in the Korean communities and churches where she would often play the organ or piano for services, as well as sing in the choir.  Her faith was as much a part of her as breathing and was reflected in all that she did.

As well as being an active member of her church communities, she also loved to travel.  Bo had many talents; she was a classical pianist and loved music, she loved to sew, knit, and crochet.

Always a devoted and loving mother, Bo was dedicated to her daughters.  Her family was very important to her.  She was never too far away or busy to not be there for her girls, and later her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Bo loved her family and the many happy times they all were blessed to share.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Tim) Riggs; grandchildren, Bobby (Macie) Riggs, Elizabeth Riggs, Timothy Riggs, Catherine Riggs, Jessica VanZuuk, Stephanie VanZuuk; great-grandchildren, Scarlett Riggs and Henry Riggs; and son-in-law, Craige VanZuuk.  Bo was preceded in death by her daughter, Carmen VanZuuk.

Bo died peacefully at her daughter’s home on Friday, September 30, 2022.  She was surrounded by her family when God called her home. Her absence will leave a void but she will never be forgotten, she will always be loved and her love and laughter will be greatly missed.
