Billy Joe Parrott

Billy Joe Parrott 87, of Indianapolis, IN passed away October 25, 2013. He retired as a Layout Inspector for AM General after 44 years retiring in 1988. Billy was a member of UAW Local #555 and served his country proudly in the U S Army. His wife Dolly describes him as the original "Couch potatoes" often finding him asleep with the TV remote control in his hand. He also enjoyed fishing, bowling, going to the casino, horse racing and was a diehard Chicago Cubs fan. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Billy is survived by his wife of 63 years Ethel "Dolly" (Alley) Parrott, his sons, David (Betty), Donald and Dwayne Parrott, grandchildren, Heather (Stu), Eric (Kim), Hannah, great grandchildren, Faith, Connor, sister, Juanita Sanders and brother, Bob (Pat) Parrott. Services will be Wednesday October 30, 2013 at 11 A.M. in Flanner and Buchanan-Decatur with visitation there Tuesday October 29th 4-8 P.M. He will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors.
