Billie "Bill" Gene Long

Billie “Bill” Gene Long was born on October 18, 1946 in Indianapolis, Indiana and passed at the age of 79 on January 1, 2026 He is survived by his wife Linda Marie Myers, son Greg (Karla) Long, daughter Jill (Tom) Edwards, grandchildren Phillip, Wyatt and Rebecca. He was preceded in death by his father Ralph E. Long, mother Helen Marie Osborn and brother Dennis A. Long. Bill retired from Allison Transmission after 33 years. He served in the Indiana National Guard for 7 years. Bill volunteered in the Wayne Township Fire Department-Drexel Garden Company 6. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 147, where he was an assistant scout master. His hobbies included collecting model trains and spending time with his family. A memorial service will be held later this year.
