Mom was a fun loving woman with a type A personality. She always leaned toward the side of humor and laughter. She had a big heart and has often come to the rescue of others whether it be car trouble or someone who needed a place to stay.
Her and her sisters have been life-long friends and all were big Colts fans with weekly calls to each other on football Sundays. She took great pleasure in betting on games with her sons and using her sisters to relay messages about how many points one brother got over the other to see if she could get us to give her more points. In this area, she was a devious instigator with a reputation of spinning a large web of deception -- all for the sake of fun and we relished being a part of it.
In the past several years, she helped raise two of her grandkids, Hunter and Taylor, and often told us about their lives with great pride in her voice. Despite the pain from her knees, she still made every effort to attend their activities and cheer at Hunter's football games as she did with her children whether it was baseball or football games. Of course she'd yell at as too if we weren't doing it right. Not because she was embarrassed, but because she wanted us to succeed.
As we celebrated her life, many in attendance shared their experiences and loving memories of her and I'm grateful to all who shared.
We'll all miss her dearly
Sincerely,
Jon, Bill, Mike, Jim and Karen
