Bill' William Denton

William M. Denton, 71, Poland, IN passed away May 14, 2015 with family by his side. He was born June 15, 1943 in Indianapolis to the late Hubert and Vesta (Brunton) Denton. Bill had served with IUPUI Police, IPD Reserve and Marion County Sherriff's with 35 years of Law Enforcement. He enjoyed bullet loading, shooting at the range, working on cars and gun collecting. Bill was a member of United Methodist Church, Spencer, IN, NRA and gun clubs. He also enjoyed watching the Colts and NASCAR and being around his dogs and family. He loved helping people, his church and catching the Bad Guys. Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy; daughters, Nancy, Lisa and Christina; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a sister, Betty and a brother, Gene. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Diana Denton and brother, Richard Denton. Services will be 11 am Monday, May18, 2015 at Flanner and Buchanan-Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Rd. visitation will be 2 pm until 6 pm Sunday at the funeral center. Burial will follow in Floral Park Cemetery. Sincerely, -Your friends at Flanner and Buchanan
