Bill R. Scott, 78 of Indianapolis passed away on July 16, 2013. He was born in Lapel, Indiana to Norman and Ada Scott. He graduated from Lapel High School. He retired as a Photographer for the Indiana State Police after 22 years of service. He also retired from International Harvester. He worked in the Loss Prevention Dept. at Macy's. He was currently serving on the board of the Pioneers of the Indiana State Police and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Bill enjoyed fishing, camping and fixing things and was an avid IU fan but most of all, he loved his family.
Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife of 52 years, Leda, his daughters, Vicki Edwards, Debbie Reagan, Diane Limbach, Lisa Wood, Rhonda Kottlowski and Jamie Rankin. He is also survived by his brother, Larry Scott, his twin sister, Judi Sheets, 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with Bill's family from 4-8 PM Friday at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. His life will be celebrated at 11 AM Saturday at the Funeral Center with entombment to follow at Washington Park East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Bill's name to the Pioneers of the Indiana State Police, 1415 Shelby Street, Indianapolis, IN 46203.
