Bill R. Brock
of Indianapolis, died October 8, 2012 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 65.
Bill was born in Indianapolis on June 24, 1947 to Boyd B. and Mary Brock. Bill served his country during Vietnam receiving the Purple Heart. He went on to serve his community as a Deputy Sheriff for the Marion County Sheriff's Department for 36 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police 86 Lodge and the American Legion. Bill enjoyed spending time relaxing at home with his family, camping, but especially his trips to the beach. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Bill is survived by his wife Karla Brock; children Chase and Joanna Brock; step children Chip and Kelli Pence; Sister Barbara Brock and special aunt Dorothy. He was preceded in death by his parents and his cousin that was like a brother to him Ron Brock.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 11 from 3 to 8 PM at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E Washington St, Indianapolis. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 PM on Friday, October 12 Flanner and Buchanan with entombment following at Washington Park East Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bill's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5635 W. 96th Street, Suite 100 Indianapolis, IN 46278.
