Bill Richard Myers, 73, died peacefully on July 9th, 2025, at his home in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana February 26th, 1952 to Clyde and Mary (Kate) Myers. Those who met Bill would make two observations about him: "He never knew a stranger" and "Family and friends are everything to him".
Bill is survived by his spouse of 32 years, Connie Baker Myers, his children, Jennifer Lynn Lucas (Mark) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Bill A. Myers of Tampa, Florida, Kimberly Jones (David) of Washington, Indianan and Morgan L. Myers (Megan) of Ingalls, Indiana. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Amelia McDonald aka Amy McDonald of Indianapolis, Indiana. He also has 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Bill was a graduate of Emmerick Manuel High School and Indiana Technical Institute (ITT) with an associate's degree in electronic engineering technology. He was employed by the State of Indiana at LaRue Carter Hospital for many years and the City of Indianapolis at the Criminal Justice Center. In both places of employment, he worked in the powerhouse and was a member of the American Society of Power Engineers, Inc.
Bill was a World War II history buff. He also was a lifetime member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Bill's personal warmth, hugs and quirky sense of humor will be missed.
A visitation to celebrate Bill's life will be held from 5-8pm Monday July 21st at Flanner Buchanan- Washington Park East. An additional visitation will be held from 11am-12pm with the service to follow at 12pm at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints. He will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
