Beverly Jeanne Weyer Miller was born on November 9, 1927 in Indianapolis, where she lived her entire life. She peacefully slipped into the presence of our Lord on Wednesday, September 21, with her husband and two of her sons close by. She graduated from Broad Ripple High School and attended Indiana Business College. On September 18, 1949, she married Joseph Earl Miller and they enjoyed 67 wonderful years of partnership.
She is the mother of three sons, Stephen (Debbi) Brown, of Gosport, Indiana; Mark (Chris) Miller of Lake Worth, Florida; and Kevin (Carole) Miller of Greenfield, Indiana. There are eight grandchildren, Rachel Brown, Joshua (Heather) Brown, Abbi Brown, Spenser (Karlie) Miller, Shane (Mary) Miller, Jacob Miller, Sarah (Brian) Strom, Isaac (Ariel) Miller, and eight great grandchildren.
Beverly was employed by the American United Life Insurance company for a number of years. She was a dedicated homemaker, wife, and mother. A longtime member of the Traders Point Christian Church, she enjoyed reading her Bible daily and watching the broadcasts of Charles and Andy Stanley when she was no longer able to attend church. She was a lady of prayer and consistently let her sons and others know that she was praying for them. Beverly’s whole life was characterized by selflessness. In her later years,
she was dedicated to finding ways to help her friends and neighbors whenever there was a need. She made many nursing home visits and called upon those who were sick or hospitalized. When she became too infirmed to make personal visits, she used her telephone extensively, to spread an encouraging word to others. She was blessed to travel widely across the country with her husband who was a contract mechanical engineer. She knew every family birthday by heart, and rarely missed sending a card to all of her children and grandchildren. All of her loved ones look forward to meeting her again in Glory.
Friends may call on Monday, September 26th, between 4 and 8 p.m. at the
