Betty Reed

Betty L. Reed 82, Indianapolis, passed away July 7, 2011 in League City, TX. She was born August 27, 1928 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Floyd and Gladys (Carr) Selzer. Betty was a homemaker and raised four children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Reed, who was killed in 1965 while serving with the U.S. Army in Vietnam, and her siblings, George Selzer and Mary Jo Hutzler. Betty is survived by her children, LaZetta Gregory (Mark), Kimberly Reed, Teddie Cremeans (Brian), Kenneth Reed (Kris), 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A celebration of Betty's life will be held on Friday, July 15 at 10:30 AM at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center- Broad Ripple. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 14 from 4-8 PM at the funeral center. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
