Betty Louise Harney

Betty L. Harney 86, Indianapolis, passed away May 5, 2011. She was born on March 2, 1925 in Rockville, IN. Betty was a graduate of Indiana State University and received a Master of Science Degree from Butler University. She taught for 25 years as an elementary teacher at McCordsville and Mt. Comfort Schools, retiring in 1989. Betty is survived by her children, Carrie Jo Harney, Curt Harney and Chris Harney; one grandson and one granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Harney and her parents, Gilbert and Bertha Dilley. A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Washington Park East, with visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
