Betty Lou Critchlow, 90, died on Friday, February 25, 2022. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on October 7, 1931 to Harry and Bertha Anderson.
Betty has 2 daughters, Sheila Gann (Eugene) and Carole Hundley (Mark). She has 3 grandchildren, Gene Hundley (Cassie), Amanda Hall (Thomas), and Ryan Gann (Morgan), and 5 great grandchildren; Allee, Ethan, Katelynn, Calvin, and Travis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Critchlow and her brother, Gerald Anderson.
Betty attended Arsenal Technical High School and worked for years at Ford Motor Company and JennAir. She most recently worked for the RCA Dome and Bankers Life Field House. She attended Park Chapel Christian Church in Greenfield, Indiana.
Betty and Eugene were high school sweethearts and were married for 71 years. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Family was the most cherished part of her life.
Betty and Eugene enjoyed riding bikes. One year, they even rode in the Hilly Hundred. They watched birds from the kitchen window and spent many days sitting on the patio in their glider. Betty enjoyed cooking (a great cook!), collecting coins, and reading.
She will be remembered dearly for her great sense of humor and feistiness!
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, 10722 East Washington Street. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial to follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
