Betty Jo daughter of Helen M. Jackson and Gill Parchem was born on December 17, 1936. Betty Jo acceptd Christ in her youth at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. Betty Jo was a lifetime resident of Indianapolis and attended IPS public schools # 17 and # 25 and a graduate of Crispus Attucks High School (Class of 1954). Betty Jo was a graduate of Cordie King's School of modeling and was a member of Sidney Smith's Fabulous Guys and Dolls Modeling Group. Betty Jo retired from U. S. Army Finance and Accounting Center after 36 years of service and worked part-time at Fall Creek YMCA located on West 10th Street until their closing in 2003. Betty Jo Jackson (Hazelwood) Grant departed this earthly life Wednesday, January 29th at the blessed age of 77. Betty Jo is preceded in death by her parents, Brother John Jackson and was the widow of Ronald M. Grant. Sweet and loving memories will be cherished by her children David L. Hazelwood, Ronda Taylor, Denise (Robert) Henry and Desiree' Tibbs. Her Grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Sister Vivian Dominguez; Brother Charles (Marsha) Jackson. Family and friends will gather on Monday, February 3, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan - Floral Park 425 North Holt Road, Indianapolis, Indiana.
