Betty Jean Sloan, 87, of Indianapolis died August 5, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born December 9, 1926 to Lawrence J. Wiggins and Opal Elizabeth Dilkey Wiggins.
Betty is a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, the International Sorority Beta Sigma Phi, Arsenal Tech Alumni Choir, and the National Rifle Association. Betty ventured her first sky diving adventure at the age of 80. She enjoyed every minute she spent with her family. She will be remembered for her positive attitude which allowed her to conquer all odds while enjoying life to the fullest.
Betty is survived by her daughters Beth Ellen Sloan-Sills (George) and Michaelle M. Molloy (Michael); grandchildren Jennifier M. Bacchione (John), Jeremy E. Sloan, Michael Alexander Molloy, Darby Elizabeth Molloy, and Zoey I. Molloy; and great-grandchildren Chantell R. Jones, Nicholas J. Bacchione, Vanessa M. Bacchione, and Ava Marie Bacchione. She was preceded in death by her husband John C. Sloan in 1992, her companion of 10 years Morey J. Doyle, and her parents.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, August 9 at 10 AM in St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 6950 E. 46th St., Indianapolis, IN.
