Betty Jean Reinacker

Betty Reinacker, 94, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully August 13^th, 2022. She was born in Indianapolis, June 13^th, 1928 to parents Bob and Nellie Delks.

She married her high school sweetheart, Walt Reinecker, in 1950. They shared 72 years of marriage. Walt passed away in February 2022.

Betty continued her education, alongside Walt, at Butler University. She worked as an executive administrator at Eli Lilly for several years before becoming a mother.

Betty was a valued member of Second Presbyterian Church.

A loving, humble lady, Betty had a huge heart. In her younger years, she enjoyed participating in a bowling league, and had a regular group of friends who played Bridge and Euchre. She and Walt enjoyed entertaining, and Betty was a marvelous hostess, especially for the holidays. Family and friends looked forward to her cooking and famous cookies all year. Betty always had an eye for fashion and loved shopping. Above all, she was devoted to her family—a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by her daughters Lynne (Jeff) Miller, and Jo (Peter) Dinwiddie; and grandsons Andrew and Jacob Dinwiddie.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walt; and her parents.

Betty’s funeral service will be at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, Tuesday August 23^rd, at 2pm. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
