Betty Jane (Snyder) Mckee

Betty Jane (Snyder) McKee, 93, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 18, 2014. Betty was born and raised in Dublin, Indiana. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Cambridge City, IN and attended Earlham College. Betty was a Cub Scout Den Mother and was pinned as an Eagle Scout mother twice and an Eagle Scout Grandmother once. She also led a Girl Scout troop for three years. Betty served in many leadership roles at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, and was a member of Irvington Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold McKee. Betty was the loving mother of her three children, Richard (Kelly) McKee, Daniel (April) McKee, and Cathy (Dennis) Dees, and cherished grandmother of Corey McKee and Erin Dees. Betty's family thanks the staff of Westminster North, Community Care Hospice and Comfort Keepers for the special care given to their mother. Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 22 at 1 PM at Flanner and Buchanan- Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington Street. Family and friends are also invited to gather there on Friday, November 21 from 5-8 PM, and also on Saturday from 12 PM until service time for visitation. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
