Betty Jane Pearcy

Betty Jane Pearcy, 92, of Zionsville, passed away at Carmel St. Vincent Hospital on February 27, 2016. She was born June 26, 1923, in Peru, Indiana, to Herman and Mary Belle Hoeppner. She married John Pearcy at Saint John’s Lutheran Church in Peru. After raising her two children, Nicki Bradley and Jeff Pearcy, she worked in various women’s fashion stores and as a sorority house mother at three universities. Betty was devoted to her family, and her warmth, love, and laughter filled their homes. She was a strong woman who celebrated her deep faith at Trader’s Point Christian Church. Opinionated and funny, Betty loved people and was a fantastic storyteller.
Betty is survived by children Nicki and Mike Bradley, Jeff and Jeri Pearcy, grandchildren Amanda Bradley and Ray Hammond, Eric and Julie Bradley, and great-grandchildren Sarah, Allison, and Andrew Bradley, and many other loving relatives.
Visitation for Betty Pearcy will be held on Tuesday, March 1, from 3:30 to 5:30 in the Point Room at Traders Point Christian Church, 6590 S. Indianapolis Road, Whitestown, Indiana, followed by a memorial service at 5:30. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Traders Point Christian Church or the Humane Society of Boone County.
