Betty Jane Korn

Betty Jane Korn, 84, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2014. She was born on August 9, 1929 in Indianapolis, IN to Chancellor Edward and Mary Adeline Hoagland. Betty graduated from George Washington High School and earned her Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Indiana University. She worked as a Lab Technician for Indiana University Medical Center until her retirement in 1999. Betty was a longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church and enjoyed cross-stitching projects. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Gerald "Jerry" Korn; son, Keith (Karen) Korn; granddaughters, Victoria (Brian) Dumpert and Deanna (John) Menefee; great-grandson, Oliver Dumpert. Betty is also survived by her sister-in-law, Pat Brower and several special nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Korn will be held at Flanner and Buchanan – Speedway on Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 2-4pm. Funeral services will take place Monday at 11am at Wesley United Methodist Church.
