Betty J. Stickle

Betty J. Stickle, 95, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on May 16, 2023. She was born on April 15, 1928, in Indianapolis, to the late Ervin and Gladys Knarzer.

Betty graduated from Howe High School in 1946. She was a founding member of the Howe alumni association, attending her last meeting just last week. She was a church secretary at Asbury and Lawrence United Methodist Churches and was Lawrence United Methodist’s longest attending member. She enjoyed sewing, playing the piano, acrylic painting classes, and her family and many friendships.

Betty is survived by her children, Cynthia (Doug) Sweeney and Linda (Joe) Reel; and grandchildren, Amanda, Wesley, Jordan, and Marisa.

Betty is preceded in passing by her loving husband, Fred Stickle, and her parents.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30, from 9:30 am to 11 am, with a Funeral at 11 am, at Lawrence United Methodist Church, 5200 Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46226. Betty’s final resting place will be with Fred at Washington Park East Cemetery. *In celebration of Betty’s life, please wear brightly colored attire*
