Betty J. Sterrett

Betty J. Sterrett 81, Indianapolis, passed away December 23, 2010. Betty was an accountant for Annex Railroad Builders for 27 years, retiring in 1992. She was a volunteer in the Chaplain’s office at Community East Hospital, and a member and past treasurer of the Sunset Club at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Betty is survived by her step-children, William E. (Sheila) Sterrett and Nancy J. (James) Williams; granddaughters, Leanne (Rob) Tripp, Caryn (Brent) Martin, Christine (Craig) Evans and Shelley Harrington; great grandchildren, Mackey, Nolan, Will, Daniel, Cameron, Katey, Stephanie, Kyla, Grayson, Nathan, Vivian, Benjamin, Gavin and Matthew. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Sterrett. Services for Betty will be 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 27, 2010 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Washington Park East, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. Entombment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
