Betty J. Steding Mickey

Betty J. Mickey 86 of Indianapolis passed away May 4, 2011. She was born on February 18, 1925 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of Robert and Josephine (Berryman) Steding. Betty retired as a bookkeeper with Union Carbide Corp. in 1986 and was a member of Smyrna Shrine Guilde and it's Kashbah Dancers. Survivors: husband, John W. Mickey, Sr.; daughter, Lynn (Kenneth) Brown; sons, James Robert (Mary Davis) Mickey and John W. (Dee) Mickey, Jr.; granddaughters, Erin N. Brown and Kristen Leitzman; grandsons, Kevin and Scott Mickey and Matt Brown; four great grandchildren and a nephew, Christopher Cox. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, May 6, 2011 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center – Washington Park East 10722 E. Washington St. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the funeral center. Entombment, Washington Park East Cemetery. Contributions, Shrine Charities or American Cancer Society.
