Betty J. Robinson

October 28, 1934 — November 20, 2015

Betty J. Robinson, 81, died on November 20, 2015. Betty was born in Macon County, TN, the fifth and last child of Acie and Ethel Nichols.

Betty and Jack, the love of her life, were married for over 63 years.
After raising four children, she worked at the Eagle-Union School Corporation as the manager of food service and retired after 18 years.

Those who knew Betty will remember her smile, her warmth and her humor.
Betty enjoyed life especially dancing! In the early 70s, she talked Jack into taking square dancing lessons and that began a fun chapter of their lives filled with square dancing, round dancing, ballroom dancing and many close and fun-loving friends they met over the years. Their home club was Laughing Squares of Indianapolis where they danced countless hours, led the club and spent years teaching other dancers the fun and art of square dancing. She also loved spending time at the lake, fish fries, family reunions and baked the best macaroni and cheese ever.

The way Betty treated others was reflected in her family and many friends. She always took the time for each person and made them feel loved and important. She nurtured all her family, watched them grow and remained a part of their lives even when they were grown.

She is survived by her husband Jack Robinson; her children Wayne Robinson and his wife Kris of Zionsville, Gary Robinson and his wife Becky of Lebanon, Melinda Dimiceli and her husband Paul of Whitestown and Tim Robinson and his wife Amy of Zionsville; her delightful grandkids Eric Robinson and his wife Tara, Blake Robinson, Cory Robinson, Nicole Pratt and her husband Jeremy, Derek Dimiceli and his wife Crystal, Alyssa Wilborn, Nathan Dimiceli and his wife Anna, and lastly Sydney Robinson; and her fantastic great-grandchildren Breana, Emma and Lilly Pratt, Zak Bowling, Shelby, Kaleb and Zoey Dimiceli, Joey and Hannah Wilborn, June and Madelyn Dimiceli and finally Piper Robinson; her loving brothers Henry Nichols and Ralph Nichols and his wife Colleen and sister-in-law Margie Nichols; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and family too numerous to list but not forgotten. Even with all these people, she always knew their birthdays and how old they were!

Betty is reunited with her mother and father, her brothers Eugene Nichols and Robert Nichols and his wife Norma and sister-in-law Clara Nichols.
