Betty Lou Salter Faulk passed away peacefully among her loved ones on November 18, 2025 at the age of 97. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on March 19, 1928, to William and Thirza Salter.
A lifelong resident of the west side of Indianapolis, Betty graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1947. She worked for the Wm. H. Block Company for 20 years, but her greatest joy in life came from caring for and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will also be fondly remembered for her heartfelt poems, which she lovingly wrote for family birthdays, celebrations, and special occasions throughout the years.
Betty was married for 68 years to her beloved husband, Lawrence Faulk, who preceded her in death on August 23, 2023.
She is survived by her three daughters, Gaynelle Rogers Mick, Paula (Alan) Stout, and Deana (Jeff) Thomas, as well as her daughter-in-law Janna Gehl Faulk. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Danelle (Henry) Pierson, Ryan Faulk, Riley (Tammy) Faulk, Kelsey (Christian) Nagel, Lauren (Nate) Means, Mitchell (Jessie) Stout, Luke (Isabel) Thomas, and Carly (Nick) Yonts; along with 14 great-grandchildren. Betty is also survived by her brothers John (Karen) Domogalik and Richard Domogalik, and by her dear friend and caregiver, Barb Mills.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dr. Dan Faulk; her son-in-law, James Mick; her grandson, Derek Mick; her brother, Steve Domogalik; and her sister, Marilyn Domogalik.
Betty will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her gentle spirit, and the beautiful poems and memories she gifted to those she cherished.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan - Floral Park Funeral Center, located at 425 N. Holt Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222.
An additional visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM - also at Flanner Buchanan - Floral Park Funeral Center.
Betty's funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM.
Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery where Betty will be laid to rest with her husband Lawrence.
