Betty Clark

Betty Jane Edington Clark, 85, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on Wednesday, September 15th. She was born in Bloomfield, IN. After graduating from Bloomfield High School, she attended Indiana University School of Nursing. She worked as a surgical nurse in Indianapolis at Riley, Long and Wishard Hospitals and the VA. Betty was a member of the Women's Architectural League of Indianapolis, Psi Iota Xi Sorority,Delta Beta Chapter of Indianapolis, Order of the Eastern Star 50 year member Bloomfield, IN chapter and Broadway United Methodist Church of Indianapolis. At Broadway she was involved with the Children's Choir, taught Sunday School, helped with dinners and receptions, counted money and was active in the Deborah Circle and Epworth Class. Betty loved volunteering at her children's school, IPS #106 where she was a room mother, OPT President, and worked in the library. She was also a Den Mother for Cub Scout Pack 74, and helped with Girl Scouts. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Clark. Survivors include her children Paul Clark (and Linda Schoneberg), Julia Yost (and her husband Larry), and a beloved grandson Colin Clark Yost. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am., Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Broadway United Methodist Church, Indianapolis with entombment at Washington Park East Cemetery.. Calling will be from 4 to 8 pm., Tuesday, September 21th at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center - Broad Ripple. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Broadway United Methodist Church, 609 E. 29th St., Indianapolis, IN 46205.
