Berton "Bert" Dugger

Berton “Bert” Dugger, 73, of Indianapolis, passed away November 25, 2018. He was born March 3, 1945 in London, KY to James “Irvin” and Beulah “Elsie” Dugger. Bert was known around the Indianapolis roofing industry for his work ethic and leadership, and most recently served as a roofing superintendent for Sink & Edwards Roofing. He enjoyed gardening and working on cars. He was a member of Roofers Local #119 and The Fathers House Church.  Bert was a dedicated husband, father, and papaw and will be missed by all who knew him.

He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Diane Dugger; daughters, Deniese Hofmeister (Thomas) and Sarah Warenda (Michael); grandchildren, Stephen Hofmeister (Kati Muller), Hannah Cox (Isaiah), Samuel Hofmeister, Seth Hofmeister, Raymond Warenda; great-grandchildren, Alice, Luke, Joanna; sister, Lois Arthur (Ed Higgins); and nephew, Gerald Arthur (Tina). He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends and family are invited to gather from 4:00-8:00pm on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229. A funeral service will take place 11:00am on Friday, November 30, 2018 at the funeral center. Bert will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery.
