Bertha Lillie Davidson, 86, of Indianapolis, passed away at home surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, January 13, 2016. She was born on March 31, 1929 in Stones Crossing, IN to Emmett and Lillian (Hosley) Esteb. Berbie was a 1947 graduate of Southport High School and worked for a short time at Davinci Jewelry. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary and enjoyed reading, mostly mystery novels. Berbie could normally be found in the kitchen cooking or outside enjoying nature. She was also a crossword puzzle master. Berbie is survived by her daughters, Judy Hurst, Beth Miller, Cathy Tarricone, Linda Lay; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Howard Esteb; and sister, Jean Rader. Berbie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Thomas Davidson; daughters, Sheryl Clephane and Becky Heyob. Berbie’s memory will be cherished by her longtime Thrush Drive neighbors. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 12noon at Flanner and Buchanan – Speedway. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Concordia Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Marion Co. Public Library.
