Bernard Jacob Tannenbaum

Indianapolis, Indiana

Bernard Jacob Tannenbaum was born November 27, 1930 in New York after his family immigrated from Europe. He started working as a young boy to support his family during the era of the Great Depression. After marrying his late wife Miriam and bringing his son Alan and daughter Caren into the world, he moved his family to Illinois. Finally, after seeing its booming construction industry, Bernie moved to Indianapolis and had his third child, Bruce. After growing his reputation, he was finally able to start his own business out of his garage called All Seasons Building Materials. Throughout the rest of his life, he strived to be honest and fair, and to bring the best service to his customers.

After struggling with his health over the past two months, Bernie peacefully passed away in his sleep on the evening of Monday, April 18, 2022. He is survived by his daughter Caren Lewton, several grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 2pm at Flanner Buchanan -Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis.  Burial in IHC North Cemetery, Westfield, IN.
