Bernard Earl Abel
89, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on October 10, 2022. He was born on April 2, 1933, in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Marion Wilmur and Frances Abel. He was an Army Veteran. He was retired from Allison Transmission. He was also a Reverend. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, James and Bill Abel and his parents. He is survived by his wife, Betty L. Abel; daughters, Diana (Raymond) Samples, Brenda Wise, Anna (John) Maldonado, and Mary (Jim) Mahoney; son, Robert (Glenda) Abel; grandchildren, Douglas (Fiancée, Megan) Engel, Sebastian Thatcher, Ashley (Jason) House and Kayla Cotter; great grandchildren, Nicholas, Presley, Brayden, Eli and Jasper; and his sister, Marion Dettman. Visitation will be Thursday, October 20, 2022, from 12 pm to 2 pm with funeral service at 2 pm at Flanner Buchanan Floral Park.
