Benjamin H. Arch
Benjamin H. Arch, 97, Indianapolis waswelcomed into God's kingdom on June 8, 2016.
He was born May 12,1919 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to the late Lydia Mae (Gelder) and Ransom H. Arch.
Ben wasemployed by several Indiana companies as an electrical technician. He installed security systems and much more. He did
not retire until 72, after 30+ yearwith Indianapolis Public Schools. Even after retirement he enjoyed tinkering and fixing things.
Ben servedhonorably, first in the National Guard and then full time in the Army. He had tours during WWII in Naples-Foggia,Tunisian and Italian campaigns. Heearned 6 overseas service bars, 3 battle stars and a Meritorious Citationamong other decorations. Ben stayed amember of the American Legion Post #500.
Ben was achild of God, attending and leading many bible studies. A few years ago he choose to be re-baptizedby immersion at Eagle Creek Assembly of God. He was a member of several churches throughout his lifetime, but mostrecently, White Harvest United Methodist (Abundant Harvest) and Eagle CreekAssembly of God.
Benjamin issurvived by his wife of 26 years, Beverly (VanZandt) Lojas Arch; sister, Pauline Licko; his children, JudyB. (Richard) Larrison; Dennis D. (Alice) Arch; Step-children, many, many,grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He waspreceded in death by his first wife, Pearl (Pryor) Arch; second wife, Norma J.(Petit) Howard Arch; and 4 brothers.
Visitationwill be 12 pm until service time at 130 PM June 18, 2016 at Flanner andBuchanan-Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Rd. Burial and Military Rites will follow in Floral Park Cemetery.
