Beatrice Louise Merrick Bryant

Beatrice L. Bryant 82, of Indianapolis, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, December 1, 2013. She was born on March 6, 1931 in Indianapolis to Vennis and Lenora (Fisher) Merrick. Beatrice (Bea) was a 1948 graduate of Tech High School and spent her entire career at Kirkbride Bible Company. Bea married the love of her life, William G. Bryant on December 28, 1952, who predeceased her on May 11, 2013. She is survived by daughters, Carol (Emory) Schlake and Gloria (Robert Michealree) Bryant; grandsons, Matthew and Joshua Schlake. Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Chester Merrick. The entire Bryant family offers special thanks to the caregivers of Home Instead. Visitation for Mrs. Bryant will be held in Flanner and Buchanan - Speedway on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be on Thursday morning at 10 a.m., also in the funeral home. Burial will take place in Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
