Barthana Asmanitis Reeves

Barthana Asmanitis Reeves, 79, of Mooresville, Indiana passed away July 5, 2021. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 21, 1942 to the late John A. and Louella (Bowman) Adams. Barthana was an administrator for American Art Glass before retiring. She worked a variety of jobs during her lifetime and even went back late in life to get her GED and earn an Associate Degree in Social Work. Barthana was a very generous person giving of both her time and talent to many of the people she came into contact with. She enjoyed talking to her friends, going shopping, crocheting and knitting, and she dearly loved her dogs. Her family commented that she made the best from scratch carrot cake with homemade icing to top it off. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving family, Cathy (Bob) Heymig, Sophia (Moe) Bunch, Ronald (Sherry) Reeves, John (Peggy) Reeves, Mark (Kristeen) Reeves, daughter-in-law Teresa Reeves, eighteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Wayne Douglas Reeves and her son Donald Reeves. Services for Barthana will be held on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Decatur Township with visitation from 12:00- 3:00PM. She will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery, West Newton, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to any Humane Society in memory of her and her absolute love for her dogs.
