Barry J. McHugh, 69, Indianapolis, passed away on December 12, 2014, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of John and May McHugh. Barry served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was District Sales Manager with the GUMOUT Division of Pennzoil and retired after 25 years of service. Barry was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Indianapolis, where he served as an usher. He loved his family and grandchildren, traveling, and was an avid golfer. Barry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Shirley McHugh; his daughter, Holly Leib (Shane); his son, Bryan McHugh; his grandchildren, Aidan and Deirdre; his brother, Sean McHugh (Ellen); his sisters-in-law, Peggy Wilkerson (Leon) and Barbara Oleck; his brother-in-law, Michael Oleck (Joanne); and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, December 19 at 11 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7243 E. 10th Street. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 18 from 2-8 PM at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, and on Friday from 10-11 AM at the church.
