Barbara Wilmoth

Barbara passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Wilmoth; her parents, Curtis and Leona Davison; her brother, Robert Davison; and her sister, Marilyn Hunn.

Barbara is survived by her siblings, Nancy Rannalletti (Sam), Cynthia Ashworth (David), Greg Davison, and Dennis Davison (Mickey); her daughters, Michelle Milazzo (Dale Kleeman) and Kristen Howard (Todd); and her four grandchildren, Tanner Milazzo, Kate Milazzo, Ben Howard, and Mackenzie Howard.

Barbara was born in Muscatine, Iowa, and moved with her family to the Phoenix, Arizona area while she was still in high school. It was there that she met and married her lifelong love, Bob, and together they settled down to raise their family.

Barbara was an active member of the Phoenix chapter of the Assistance League. She especially enjoyed participating in programs such as Operation School Bell, which provided new clothing, shoes, winter coats, books, and hygiene supplies to children in need. She also devoted many hours to volunteering at the Assistance League Thrift Shop, generously giving her time in service to her community.

After her two daughters left for college, Barbara returned to school herself, earning a degree in Sociology from Arizona State University. She enjoyed watercolor painting, had a lifelong love of animals, and took great pleasure in making a house feel like a warm and welcoming home.

In 2004, Bob and Barbara moved to Carmel, Indiana, where they spent their remaining years enjoying time with family and friends. Of all the roles Barbara cherished throughout her life, none was more important to her than being a grandmother. She treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and created lifelong memories through the many special traditions they shared.

Barbara will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her generous spirit, and the warmth she brought to the lives of those she loved. The traditions she created, the home she made, and the memories she shared with her family will remain a lasting part of her legacy.

A private service will be held for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barabara's honor to the Hamilton County Humane Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
