Barbara A. Rusterholz, 91, of Fishers, Indiana, passed away peacefully January 29th, 2024. She was born February 26th, 1932, in Friendsville, Tennessee to parents Allen and Delia (Wolfe) Endsley.
Barbara grew up in Tennessee, and later moved to Indianapolis in 1953.
On August 22nd, 1953, she married the love of her life, James Keith Rusterholz. They shared 44 wonderful years together. James passed away in October 1998.
Barbara graduated from the National Business College, of Knoxville, Tennessee. She went on to work as a bookkeeper and office manager for several different companies.
She was a member of the Outlook Christian Church for many years. Barbara was also a proud member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.
Barbara was a strong, loving woman. She inherited a love for the outdoors, enjoying fishing and mushroom hunting. She found joy tending to her flower gardens. Barbara and James liked visiting local casinos and were fans of IU men’s basketball. A talented shuffle boarder, she even achieved the level of “Expert” in Texas Shuffle boarding. Above all, Barbara loved her family.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Barbara is survived by her children Robin “Rob” L. Rusterholz (Becky) of Indianapolis and Margaret “Peg” B. Rusterholz (Jill Altman) of Fishers, Indiana; grandchildren Kelsey McGrady (Brian) of Pendleton, Indiana, and Shelby Rusterholz (Travis Stroud) of Indianapolis; great-granddaughter Eleanor McGrady of Pendleton, Indiana.
She is preceded in death by her husband James; her parents; sister Gladys McKinsey; brother James Endsley; and 11 half brothers and sisters.

The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Heart to Heart Hospice Team and the Staff of Hamiliton Trace for providing Barbara exceptional care.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East.
Her Funeral will begin at 2:00 PM. Pastor Ryan Hazen of Geist Christian Church will officiate.
Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
