Barbara M. Peterson

Barbara M. Peterson 69, Indianapolis, IN, died June 29, 2014. Bobbie was born August 5, 1944 in Alexandria, Virginia to the late Edward Jr. and Virginia (Butcher) Minson. Bobbie is best known as a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. Her family was a significant part of her life. Her hobbies included crafts, reading, sewing, cooking, traveling, and entertaining family and friends. Her gift was her ability to touch each person's life that she met through her selfless and caring personality. Her compassionate nature for others was never-ending. Whether a neighbor, a close friend or a family member, Bobbie was always there to help. It was truly her gift. She had a continuous and great devotion for her family. Bobbie is survived by her loving children, Tawni Harris (Mel); son, Dewey Scott Peterson; sister, Marcia Culp (Warren V) of Northern, Virginia; grandchildren, Alexander, Rachel, Adem, and J.T and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family and friends may call Thursday July 3, 2014 from 11am-1pm at Flanner and Buchanan –Washington Park North 2706 Kessler Blvd West Drive Indianapolis, Indiana 46228.
