Barbara Lee

Barbara Jean Ottinger Lee, age 81, of Indianapolis passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, March 26, 2014. She was born in Boone County, IN to Francis and Ocal (Brown) Ottinger on December 8, 1932. She was the wife of Earl Patton Lee, who preceded her in death in 1998. Barbara loved spending time with her family, working in the garden, caring for her home, and doing things outside. She loved Native American culture and honored that part of her heritage by attending pow-wows when she was able. She will be greatly missed by those who survive her, including children Tammy Winebar and husband Chris of Brownsburg, IN, Donna West and husband Bob of Nineveh, IN, and Scott Lee of Indianapolis; grandchildren Casey Lee (Courtney) of Indianapolis, David, Kevin, and Jessica Winebar of Brownsburg, and Dakota and Logan Ortiz of Nineveh and great-grandson Ryan Lee. Her brother Floyd Ottinger and his wife Janet also survive, as do many loving nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl, their infant son Kevin Patton Lee, and 11 siblings.
