Barbara L. Wickersham

Barbara Lee (Huff) Wickersham, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away April 14, 2022. She was born in Indianapolis on August 6, 1939, to parents Marvin and Edna (Simmons) Huff.

Barbara attended Broad Ripple High School in Indianapolis. On March 26, 1956, she married her loving husband Larry E. Wickersham; they lived briefly in the town of Hamilton, Ohio, before returning to Indianapolis in 1961. Barbara and Larry shared 57 years together until his death in 2013. Barbara was a strong, loving woman who blanketed everyone in love. She was a proud member of Unity of Indianapolis and found joy in bird watching, collecting trinkets of owls and angels, her pets, and watching her favorite sports teams, the Indiana Pacers and Indianapolis Colts. Above all else, Barbara adored her family and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and many friends.

Barbara is survived by her three children, Donna (Wickersham) Carter, Larry Wickersham, Jr., & David Wickersham; sister Donna “Jeanie” (Huff) Hartnett; six grandchildren, Christopher Carter, Nikita (Carter) McDonald, Christina (Winburn) Hess, Matthew Winburn, Kesha Winburn, & Dominic Winburn; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband Larry E. Wickersham; parents Marvin Huff and Edna (Simmons) Huff; and her brother Marvin “Sonny” Huff.
