Barbara L. Brown

Barbara L. Brown of Indianapolis passed away May 18, 2021 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 74.

She was born August 20, 1946 in Indianapolis to the late Herbert William Young and Lucille M. Payne.

She spent her career working in assembly for RCA, and as a deli clerk for Kroger and later Meijer where she retired.

Her past times included watching Wheel of Fortune and the Golden Girls, but her fondest memories were spent with family and watching her great-grandson Tony play sports.  She will be remembered for her great love and devotion to her family.

Barbara is survived by her children Sherry L. Thomas and Terry L. Brown; grandchildren Tony Thomas, Gavin Brown, and Whitney Brown; great-grandson Tony Thomas, Jr.; and sister Yvonne Young.

She was preceded in death by her grandson Steven Thomas; and siblings Patricia Steele, Robert Young, and William Young, Jr.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 21, 2021 from 12-2 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St, Indianapolis.  Funeral Services will begin at 2 PM.  She will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery with her parents.
