Barbara K. Brankle

Barbara K. Brankle, 84 of Indianapolis was born March 1, 1931 and died on February 19, 2015. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to George and O'Zella Konig. She married William J. Brankle in 1950. She began her banking career in 1949. She worked at Merchants Bank, which later became Railroadmen's Bank and finally Huntington National Bank. She retired in 1996. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking and most of all her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband on September 10, 2014. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Nancy B. (Larry) Doty, Lisa B. (Kurt) Moyer, David W. Brankle, brother, Charles E. Konig, sister, Lore Bourgeois, grandchildren, Meghan Doty, Leah Doty, Kate Moyer, Amy Jo Brankle and Michael Brankle, great-grandchildren, Jordan Dick and Ella Doty. Friends may call from 10-11 AM Saturday, February 21, 2015 with the Service being held at 11 AM at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis.
