Barbara Joanne Latimer Mcgraw

Barbara Joanne McGraw 84, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. She was born on October 21, 1928 in Indianapolis as 1 of 9 children born to Clarence R. and Margaret C. Latimer. Joanne was a 1946 graduate of Decatur Central High School and worked at Allison General Motors for 35 years. She attended New Beginnings Assembly of God and was an active bowler, fisherman and painter. Joanne also enjoyed reading, playing cards with her family and playing her piano. She is survived by her former husband, Bobby J. McGraw; and their children, Barbara J. (Bob) Keller, Michelle L. (Gary) Shireman and Patrick E. (Suzanne) McGraw. Joanne is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Martha, Daniel, Scott, Erik, Erin, Matthew, Merrick, Conor and Caulin; as well as 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and all of her brothers and sisters, Bill, Glen, Wes, David, Rich, Patty, Wilma and Mary. A memorial service will be held at Flanner and Buchanan – Speedway on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 4pm.
