Barbara Jo Riegel Curry

March 27, 1930 — October 29, 2012

Barbara Jo Riegel Gould Curry entered peacefully into Heaven October 29, 2012 at her home following a year long struggle with cancer. She was born March 27, 1930, the only child of Leebert and Maxine Riegel, now deceased. Barbara was a graduate of Howe High School and attended Butler University. She formerly worked for Indiana Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church and Meridian Hills Country Club and had worked with the Arthritis Foundation. Barbara was a beautiful lady, always smiling, and beloved by her many friends and relatives. She enjoyed her countless bridge, euchre clubs and birthday luncheons with her lady friends. She was a happy longtime member of Lantern Hills Happy Hour. Survivors include her aunt Jeanne Suding, Greenwood, IN; cousins Phyllis Peralta, Santa Ana, CA, Donald Baird, Scottsdale, AZ, Larry Suding, Port Charlotte, FL and Jacqueline Baker, Greenwood, IN. Other survivors include her devoted companion David Causey, and her longtime loving and wonderful caregiver, Debra MacBeth and her precious adoring little dog, Joey. Barbara was preceded in death by her husbands, Jay Gould and O. Russell Curry. A Celebration of Her Life will take place at 3 PM on Friday, November 2 at Flanner and Buchanan Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St. Calling will be 1-3 PM prior to the service. Entombment will follow the service at Washington Park East Cemetery. Very special thanks to her doctors, nurses and Community Home Hospice and Barbara's many friends and relatives who helped her through this sad ordeal.
