Barbara Jane Johns

Born on February 17, 1930, Barbara Jane Johns was the seventh child of Adolphus and
Maria Jane Perkins and was raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a graduate of
Warren Central High School and Clark Business College. Throughout the years, Barb
had numerous part-time jobs, mostly in the capacity as an administrative assistant. In
1954 she married John O. Johns and they remained married until his passing in 2017.
A devoted wife and mother, Barbara was a long-time member of Oaklandon (now
Outlook) Christian Church. She passed away on May 13, 2023, at age 93.

Barbara is survived by her sister, Carol Metscher; sons, John and Brian; granddaughter,
Kathy and husband, Mike and great granddaughter Cecily.

A graveside service will take place 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2023, in Memorial
Park Cemetery, 9350 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229 with burial
to follow.
